Jim is a passionate educator who has more than twenty years of teaching and tutoring experience in Singapore and UK.

Jim started teaching and tutoring in the 1990s. After graduating from the National Institute of Education, Singapore and teaching for years in schools, his thirst for knowledge in educational theories grew.

Jim left Singapore to pursue his studies at Exeter University and then graduated with a Master of Science in Educational Research Methodology from Oxford University. During his days as a student at Exeter and Oxford University, he did research in nursery and elementary schools. He also got himself involved in teaching and counselling people from all walks of life. In the midst of doing his PhD studies, he had to return to Singapore due to personal commitments.

After his studies in UK, Jim started to work as a Research Associate at National Institute of Education, Singapore and then as a Curriculum Developer in one of the future schools in Singapore. Years of working in educational research and curriculum development had not stopped him from doing what he loves the most- giving tuition.

Over the years, he has produced countless of top students. For his achievement in tuition, he was awarded Best Achievement Tutor in 2012 and was inducted into “The Domain of Singapore Tutoring Experts” in 2015 as  one of Singapore's Top expert tutors.
